GECCO Un site utilisant Réseau Cerfacs

PEOPLE

Dr Bénédicte CUENOT (Head of the Combustion group)

contact: benedicte.cuenot@cerfacs.fr

 – project coordinator
– responsible for the numerical tasks in the project

Lionel CHENG (Phd student)

Graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 2017 and ISAE-Supaero in 2018 in fluid mechanics. Having worked under the supervision of Guillaume Blanquart at Caltech as part of my research internship in Ecole Polytechnique, I come with some background in numerical simulation of turbulent flames.

As part of the GECCO team, I will work on simulating the different experimental setups of the project by developing a plasma-combustion coupled code.

Dr Olivier VERMOREL (Senior researcher)

contact: olivier.vermorel@cerfacs.fr

Prof. Thierry SCHULLER (Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France)

contact: thierry.schuller@imft.fr

Coordinator of the IMFT tasks

Synthesis of IMFT task :

·      Development of a test rig dedicated to analysis of plasma assisted spray flames dynamics

·      Characterization of spray flame dynamics without plasma

·      Characterization of spray flame dynamics with plasma

Prof. Deanna LACOSTE (Assistant Professor, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology)

contact: deanna.lacoste@kaust.edu.sa

Responsible for the experimental investigation of flame/acoustic/plasma coupling at elevated pressure.

Francesco Di Sabatino (PhD student, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology)

contact: francesco.disabatino@kaust.edu.sa

Francesco is in charge of the experimental investigation of the effect of non-equilibrium plasma on the control of flame acoustic coupling at elevated pressure.

Jun.-Prof. Dr. J. P. MOECK (Chair of Fluid Dynamics, TU Berlin, Germany)

Tobias MANGOLD (Research Assistant, Chair of Fluid Dynamics, TU Berlin Germany)

Contact: t.mangold@tu-berlin.de

Education: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Science at TU Berlin in 2016

Task in the GECCO project:  Work Package 3: Investigating plasma-assisted control of high-frequency oscillations in turbulent, lean-premixed swirl flames.
